Haste is universal
"Haste is universal because everyone is running from himself" – Nietzsche
Rose is a rose is a rose is a rose
I am fascinated by the mentions of roses in literature, there seems to be a cycle of references throughout history. Where does it come from? What is really interesting is how they often seem to be metaphors for something much bigger than the simple flower, for concepts much more diverse than just the stereotypical symbol for love.

One of my of my forever ongoing project is to find this thread of roses scattered across written works and illustrate their meaning.

(Quote from Gertrude Stein's "Sacred Emily")
